2. How Easy Is The Shpiel To Put On?
You will find that the shpiel is very easy to put on. You can be as creative as you like. However, the shpiels vary in levels of difficulty. For information on a specific shpiel email Cantor Shore. With this shpiel package you will receive everything that you need to present your purim shpiel. The CD that you will receive has all of the songs professionally recorded with full orchestration and parodied words. We understand that most synagogues do not budget for Purim so we have made it very easy for you. The CD can also be used for performance. Once there is an amplified voice singing over the CD you will not hear the voice on the CD. This will save you having to hire musicians or buying sheet music.

3. How Many Rehearsals Will We Need?
Some people have only 1 or 2 rehearsals while others simply have everyone show up the night of the shpiel, hand out the scripts and let everyone read and sing along with the CD. Others will have more rehearsals. It really works in any situation.

4. What Does a Shpiel Cost?
It costs nothing but we do ask for a donation to our synagogue. For further information on our sliding scale for donations please contact Cantor Shore. Please include the name and size of your congregation.

5. Which Shpiels Are For Adults And Which Are For Children?
Our shpiels can be used for either adults and children. None of them contain anything inappropriate for any age group. There are some however that utilize themes that are popular with children.

6. Where Does Music Come From?
Music from certain shpiels is taken either from the show we are parodying or of the theme of the shpiel.
The music for some of the shpiels is taken from a top 40 R & B list. It is music that might not be familiar to you but your kids will know it.

7. Can We Sing With The Vocals On The CD?
The CD that you will receive has Cantor Shore's voice singing the lead vocals. In many cases you will find that you can sing over the vocals. If you are using a microphone for the actual presentation your voice will be heard over the CD. In addition, some of your congregants will enjoy having the vocals as a guide.

8. How can I get the music with no vocals?
Many of our shpiels come with an optional karaoke CD. On the order form there is a drop down list of available accompaniment CDs for the various shpiels. These karaoke CDs are made specifically for the shpiels they accompany. The tracks are in the same key, with the same arrangement and the same length so it is a seamless integration.

There are shpiels however that do not come with a karaoke CD. In this case go to www.soundchoice.com or www.pocketsongs.com you can order the karaoke background vocal CDs.

No, it's not necessary. This is for fun! Most congregations have chosen to read their scripts. You can of course decided to memorize the songs. Either way they are successful. Some shpiels come with a Powerpoint presentation of the lyrics and/or entire script. This acts as a teleprompter for the cast and a visual aid for the entire congregation and you will be saving trees!
